Beyond the Raging Waves
Hot in the shade
by the poolside
I am wild:
“Let’s do bodypaint!
Practice the kama sutra.
Whirl and reel!
C’mon and get it!”
And then, I go sailing
chanting om mani padem hum
and my vessel
dances me
beyond the raging waves
to the end of love
sings a Shiva invocation
brings me gently back
to nothingness:
I am happy.
