Knee deep in chaos
the drums
always the drums
beating the undivided fire of
agony
spirits of my father call
“listen to the singing in your soul”
the universal mother speaks
“the good life is here, now”
the book of secrets whispers
“let it go, come dance
around the room with me.
I’ll take you there.”
and my secret heart has heard
a waterfall of spirit
courses through this body
the white tiger within
fans the gypsy flame
of passion
in this heart
