Thank You for this Day

Gathering in morning prayer
we embrace the medicine within
the light, like sunrise
a moon song on the soft waves of
our bodies.

Dancing together
we are seekers of
lux arumque—
light and gold—
trusting our limbs to loosen
the disappeared parts to emerge
and our hearts to open
to ourselves and one another.

This much I know:
here, on the dance floor,
lies love
and we are one.
